Volunteer to help provide hospitality to the First Nations guests

Volunteer to help provide hospitality to the First Nations guests staying at the IHH who are in Melbourne for hospital business.

At the core, being an IHH volunteer looks like creating a hospitable, family friendly and culturally safe environment for patients (or their friends and family) who are in Melbourne for medical reasons. This can look different depending on what our guests need. It might be just helping cook dinner and providing them space, it might be entertaining kids, it might be debriefing the events of the day with an Elder. The shifts run from 6pm-9pm, dinner is included and you will be volunteering alongside one of the IHH residents. It’s a very chill and relaxed vibe. Note: Our hosting work has been quiet recently due to COVID19's hospital visiting restrictions. However we would still love to connect with you for learning opportunities (in the Listen section) and future hosting.
