Volunteer with your local sports club

Sports clubs are the heartbeat of Australian communities. They are places where people gather and journey through the highs and lows of everyday life.

Sometimes difficult things happen in these communities. Players facing serious injuries, a beloved team member becomes sick, a tragic loss without warning through illness, accidents and suicide. These critical incidents take all by surprise, and they can be overwhelming to manage for everyone involved.

Sports Chaplaincy Australia cares for those in Sporting Communities. We offer two primary ways that you can get involved.

  1. You can become a Sports Chaplain. You can become part of the life of a local sporting community and offer hope and life as you care for those within the team.

  2. You can join our Critical Incident Response Team. When sporting communities face a tragedy we make sure we are there to support them. We care through on-site debriefs, workshops and ongoing support.

If you would like to "Get in the Game" and care for your local sporting community, then see our website for more details of how to start your sports chaplaincy journey.
